Port forwarding

When you need this: your router doesn't support automatic port opening, or you'd rather not use it.

#Steps

1. In Tact-VC, look up the port in Settings → Network → UDP port. The default is 47100.

2. In your router, add a port forwarding. Routers also call it port sharing, virtual server or NAT rule. Use these values:

   Field	Value
   Protocol	UDP
   External port	47100 (or your port from step 1)
   Internal port	the same port
   Device	this computer

3. Give this computer a fixed local address in the router, often called always assign the same IP address or DHCP reservation. Otherwise the forwarding can point to the wrong device later.

4. Optional: turn off Open port on my router in Tact-VC.

#Check it worked

Run Settings → Network → Check my network. Replies and App port pass.
